Samasource, the City of The Hague and the WestHolland Foreign Investment Agency would like to cordially invite you to the opening event of the European operations of Samasource.
San Francisco originated Samasource, a non-profit enterprise, aims to reduce global poverty by connecting unemployed people from impoverished countries to dignified digital outsource work. As one of the first organizations to engage in socially responsible business process outsourcing (BPO), Samasource uses an internet-based model called “microwork”. This model breaks down large-scale digital projects from clients such as Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, TripAdvisor & eBay, into smaller tasks for workers to complete. These workers are trained in basic computer skills and paid a fair wage for their labor. Since their start in 2008, Samasource has employed more than 8,000 people in Kenya, Uganda, India, and Haiti.
