Movies that Matter

The Movies that Matter Festival presents around seventy human rights feature films and documentaries from all over the world. Many films will be screened for the first and only time in the Netherlands. The majority of the films are English spoken or subtitled.

Most film screenings are followed by an in-depth program, which can be an introduction, debate or talk show, in the presence of international guests, including human rights defenders, film makers, politicians and journalists.

Besides the two main sections, A Matter of ACT and Camera Justitia, the festival features several other program components.

In 2016 the Movies that Matter festival will take place from Friday 18 until Saturday 26 March. At the beginning of March the programme will be online.
