The Hague, as international city of Peace and Justice, is the place to be for start-ups and creative talent with focus on societal and technological innovations with international outreach. On 23 February the BIG – Small Start-up Event in Barcelona is a unique match-making event connecting start-ups with investors and companies that are successful in the app economy industry in the Netherlands, Europe and globally. The evening is part of the ‘impact economy program’, The Hague’s start-up program presented by alderman Karsten Klein on September 30th 2015.
Up to 20 start-up companies, chosen by a professional jury, will present 5-minute TEDx style pitches in the attempt to convince the panel and audience of the value of their products/solutions. The topics of the presentations are societal and technological innovations related to privacy & security, telecommunication & ICT, Smart City, Internet of Things and Cloud.
