Photography Exhibition “Belgian Autumn” at Fotomuseum Antwerpen

Jan Rosseel’s father was one of the twenty-eight people murdered during a series of robberies by the infamous Belgian gang ‘de Bende van Nijvel’ in the 1980’s. His exhibition is a speculative inquiry into the impact of a traumatic event on the human brain and our collective memory. At the same time, his exhibition poignantly questions the common practices of law, crime, and punishment, and urges the spectator to reconsider his or her beliefs about these matters.
