Following the first successful edition of Accountability Hack in 2016, the “Algemene Rekenkamer” and the Open State Foundation will host a second edition at the House of Representatives (Tweede Kamer) June 9th. In this edition, the challenge for app developers is to portray money flows and government performance in new and innovative ways using open data.
Anyone who uses open data to understand the effectiveness and efficiency of policies and expenditures is welcome to Accountability Hack 2017. The hackathon is intended for developers, programmers, designers and data journalists. A jury will decide which teams made the best apps. For the winners € 7,500 is available for prize money. There is also a side event for interested policy makers, data holders, financial trainees, directors and members of the Lower Chamber.
